Oldwalls Gower is a luxury wedding and glamping venue in South Wales, just a half an hour drive from Swansea. Even though it’s so close to the city, it really feels like you’re hours away in the countryside – there’s even alpacas and sheep on the grounds!
We were guests at a wedding at Oldwalls Gower a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, so I thought I would share a few photos of our experience as I know I always get curious about these kind of places – especially when it comes to glamping! It’s a great place if you’re looking for a wedding venue because it really has everything in one: beautiful surroundings, lovely interiors and modern (yet still cosy and rustic!) accommodation.
I can’t say much about how it was to organise a wedding at Oldwalls Gower, but I can share my experience as a guest, which was really lovely. I tried taking a few shots of the little details and the interior/exterior, but mostly I wanted to enjoy myself so it’s not quite as thorough a photo diary as I would like it to be, but I hope it still gives you some sort of idea about how the venue is!
This was the little bar area – I love how light and airy it is!
The Glamping Village is fairly modern as it was only built in 2014 – our hut had everything from TV and a kettle to the shower and toilet! The only thing I would say that even though there was a radiator in the hut, it did get quite cold in the night. Luckily the bedding and the duvet were super warm and cosy!
A little sneak peek inside our glamping hut!
A few snippets of the dining room and our table – how beautiful are all the little copper details? The food was absolutely fantastic, too – it was kind of fine dining meets comfort food.
I woke up early the night after the wedding to capture the most beautiful misty morning and to say hi to the sheep – how cute are they?!
Hope you enjoyed having a sneak peek into our wedding guest and glamping experience at Oldwalls Gower – it was truly such a lovely weekend!
